20W Car Audio Amplifier with LM1875

This is just addition 20W audio amplifier circuit , but this time based on the LM1875 audio amplifier IC from National Semiconductors. With a 25V bifold ability accumulation LM1875 can bear 20W of audio ability into a 4 ohm speaker. The LM1875 requires actual beneath external components and has actual low distortion.

The IC is aswell arranged with a lot acceptable appearance like fast bulk rate, advanced accumulation voltage range, top achievement current, top achievement voltage swing, thermal aegis etc. The IC is accessible in TO-220 artificial ability amalgamation and is able-bodied acceptable for a array of applications like audio systems, servo amplifiers, home theatre systems etc.

Notes.

  • Assemble the circuit on a good quality PCB.
  • Use +/-25V DC dual supply for powering the circuit.
  • K1 can be 4 ohm, 20W speaker.
  • A proper heat sink is necessary for the IC.
  • F1 and F2 are 2A

Latest new Oxygen Sensor Simulator Oxygen Simulator Sensor

The schematic diagram for the simulator. Closing the switch engages the simulator. Turning the knob clockwise simulates a lean condition, turns the LED off, and the car should start running rich to compensate. The big "V" is a digital voltmeter (not shown in the pictures). Using a smaller value for C1, perhaps 4.7 uF, will make the circuit oscillate faster and might be more like a real oxygen sensor (a new sensor switches more often than an old one).

22 Watt Car Subwoofer Amplifier

Circuit Description

The stereo signals coming from the line outputs of the car radio amplifier are mixed at the input and, after the Level Control, the signal enters the buffer IC1A and can be phase reversed by means of SW1. This control can be useful to allow the subwoofer to be in phase with the loudspeakers of the existing car radio. Then, a 12dB/octave variable frequency Low Pass filter built around IC1B, Q1 and related components follows, allowing to adjust precisely the low pass frequency from 70 to 150Hz. Q2, R17 and C9 form a simple dc voltage stabilizer for the input and filter circuitry, useful to avoid positive rail interaction from the power amplifier to low level sections.
This unit is intended to be connected to an existing car stereo amplifier, adding the often required extra "punch" to the music by driving a subwoofer. As very low frequencies are omnidirectional, a single amplifier is necessary to drive this dedicated loudspeaker. The power amplifier used is a good and cheap BTL (Bridge Tied Load) 13 pin IC made by Philips (now NXP Semiconductors) requiring a very low parts count and capable of delivering about 22W into a 4 Ohm load at the standard car battery voltage of 14.4V.

2×22W Stereo Car Audio Amplifier schematic diagram

This is a schematic diagram of stereo audio amplifier for your car. The schema is powered by a single IC TDA1553 with some external components, this IC will handle your stereo car audio system.

2x22W

The TDA1553CQ is a monolithic integrated class-B output amplifier in a 13-lead plastic DIL-bent-SIL power package. It contains 2×22 W amplifiers in BTL configuration. The device is primarily developed for car radio applications.

The TDA1553CQ contains two identical amplifiers with differential input stages and can be used for bridge applications. The gain of each amplifier is fixed at 26 dB.

Special features of the device are:

3-state mode switch
· standby: low supply current (<100> Loudspeaker protection
When a short-schema to ground occurs, which forces a DC voltage across the loudspeaker of >= V, a built-in protection schema becomes active and limits the DC voltage across the loudspeaker to <= v. pin 12 detects the status of the protection

Short-schema protection
If any output is short-schemaed to ground during the standby mode, it becomes impossible to switch the schema to the mute or operating condition. In this event the supply current will be limited to a few milliamps.

How to Match a Car Subwoofer and Amplifier

Need help knowing how to match a car subwoofer and amplifier? Tired of your friends constantly asking you to pair a sub and amp for them? Watch this video (or send it to a friend) and learn about the three major points of matching subwoofers and amps:

  • The Total RMS of the System
  • The Final Impedance of the System
  • Types of Amplifiers

In this video we use the 750 watts RMS Kicker CVX (CompVX) subwoofer and the Kicker ZX750.1 amplifier (750 watts RMS @ 2 ohm) as an example of a perfectly matched subwoofer and amp.
